Eric Paradis is a certified A&P mechanic with Inspector Authorization and a commercial / instrument pilot. After serving his country in the US Navy, Eric went to Spartan School of Aeronautics and in 1988 received his A&P and degree in Aeronautical Applied Sciences. Eric worked his way up from a line mechanic, taking care of 13 planes for a flight school, to maintenance supervisor working with all types of aircraft (turbine / piston) and providing on-call maintenance for airlines. Two years after starting and growing an interior department for a large FBO, it was time to set out on his own. Eric's attention to detail is evident in his leather work, sewing abilities, installations and maintenance. One of the headliners Eric sewed and installed aided in the award of Reserve Grand Champion at Oshkosh in 2005. That was the beginning of award winning interiors including a Glasair III which won Kit-built Grand Champ at Air-Venture.
Eric's practical experience on engines and airframes runs from J-3 Cubs to Boeing 767's, experimental aircraft with certified engines to non-certified engines and a number of different rotor craft. Specialized training on Pratt & Whitney turbines, Citation Jets, Helicopters, advanced leather work for competition quality interiors, and custom fabrication allows Eric to work on the large variety of aircraft.
A few years ago, Eric branched out to custom automobile, recreational vehicles and boat interiors. Holding to the same type of standards used in working on aircraft, Eric has redone interiors for a 36 Ford, 55 Chevys, Volkswagens and numerous (cost effective) repairs for car and truck seats. Casita, Coachman and Airstream are few of the rec vehicles which have be refurbished.
Eric continually strives to learn more by attending various seminars and workshops available to pilots and mechanics. He annually attends the Factory ROTAX® engine re-certification course and the IA renewal seminar.
